Paul Stockett HEAD COACH: Paul STOCKETT - Paul has been a member of the Knowlton Golden Warriors team for 10 years as a swimmer and been a member of both Knowlton and Hidden Hollow Swim Clubs for even longer. Paul is very familiar with the sport of swimming and has over 10 years of swimming experience as well as having taught swim lessons for the past couple of years. Paul graduated from the Malvern Preparatory School where he competed on both the water polo and swim teams for five years in the Inter-Ac League. He has just completed his first year at Purdue University, a Division I school, where he is a member of the swim team in the Big Ten Conference. During his swimming career, he has been named a High School All-American and 3 time Scholastic All-American. As a Golden Warrior swimmer, Paul broke pool and team records around the Delco League, many of which still stand today. Paul continues to train at the Suburban Seahawks Club in Newtown Square where he has been a member for over 10 years.

In addition to swimming and water polo, Paul has competed as a youth in soccer, lacrosse, diving (for Knowlton), 5K runs, and triathlons, and has organized a kids' triathlon the past two years at Malvern Prep to raise money for several charities. Paul also swims outside the pool in open water competitions including swimming three times in the 4.4 mile Chesapeake Bay Swim where he finished 11th out of over 600 swimmers in 2013, and participated in USA Swimming's Open Water National 5k Championships in 2011.

A common fixture at Knowlton both as a lifeguard and an active, daily member, Paul will now have the increased roles of Head Coach of the swim team and Swim Lessons Instructor.

PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME ASSISTANT COACH: Pat LEWIS - Pat has swam for the Golden Warriors and been an assistant coach for the team for the past two years. In addition, Pat has coached at the high school level.

Dan Lordan ASSISTANT COACH: Dan LORDAN - Dan Lordan has been a member of the Knowlton Swim Team since 2008. He also swam breaststroke and freestyle on the Strath Haven High School Men's Team for four years. When a shoulder injury ended his swimming career in his senior year he spent the summer learning to coach under Taura Wizniak. Last year he came to Champs dressed as the Golden Warrior and has frequently been seen dressed up or painted in the Knowlton colors.

Dan graduated from Strath Haven High School in 2013 and is now entering his sophomore year of college at the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University. There he is the Schreyer Student Council Academic Chair and a member of the Springfield THON organization and the Paterno Fellows Program.

While coaching is new for Dan, he has taught swim lessons for the past three years at Knowlton as well as lifeguarding for the last five. He has also grown up swimming with Paul Stockett and looks forward to joining the coaching staff this year. Go Golden Warriors!


Emily Davis ASSISTANT COACH Emily DAVIS - Emily Davis has been a member of the Knowlton swim team for the past seven years. She graduated from Penncrest High School this June. She was a four year varsity swimmer for Penncrest. For the pas five years she swam for the Ridley Area YMCA where she was a district and state championship qualifier. Also Emily works as a swim instructor and lifeguard at both Knowlton and the Ridley YMCA. This is her last summer swimming as a Golden Warrior. Her swim career will continue next fall at Millersville University, and will be majoring in Medical Technology.


Rachel Cotton ASSISTANT DIVING COACH: Rachel COTTON - Rachel Cotton has been swimming and diving for Knowlton Golden Warriors for the past 11 years. She has been a pool member her entire life. Rachel has been working for Knowlton for the past 4 years as a life guard and swim instructor. During High School Rachel was a varsity diver and awarded the coach’s award each year. She qualified all four years for Central league champs and placed in the top 10 for diving. She has been a staple fixture at the Delco league diving competitions, competing each year at Diving Invitational meets and Championships. She has placed in the top 2 for her age group for the past 7 years to continue on to the Elite meet. Where she has medalled each year.

Outside of Knowlton, Rachel is a member of the Infinity Dive Club. She competes in AAU diving for Infinity at the Junior Olympic Level.

Rachel will be attending Penn State Erie, The Behrend College for communications in the fall. She will continue her diving career at Erie.

Outside of swimming and diving Rachel is very involved with Venture Crew and has earned her Bronze and Gold awards. She also participated in Penncrest High School Marching band color guard for four years.

Rachel is very excited to take on the position as assistant coach. She hopes to hand down her love and enthusiasm for diving to the team.
